I'm too lazy to write and not quite motivated enough to study for my biology exam on Friday, so I'm kind of at loose ends. I ought to be either working on my polybigbang (which hit 8k on Saturday, a feat I celebrated by staying up until 3:30 AM writing Mark/Chris) or finishing a Generation Kill kittenfic I started a couple weeks ago. OR, I could start one of the two vague ideas I have for shortfics, one of which is Mark/Chris where Mark convinces Chris to stop smoking* and the other of which is an Amy POV Amy/Dustin thing.

* yeah, okay, it was actually hapakitsune's idea, but it's a cute one and I kind of want to play with it

Unrelated, but The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is seriously disturbing.

Anyway, the real point of this post is to do a meme, because I love memes. So, who wants to play fuck-mary-kill with me?

(You know, that's the one where you give me three people, fictional, real, some combination, and I pick one to marry, one to fuck, and one to kill.)

My aunt who lived in Sweden got me to start reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, but I'm only about a hundred pages in -- however, between the fact its Swedish name is Men Who Hate Women and testimonies of people like you calling it disturbing, I'm hesitant over whether or not I want to finish it :/

(This is why I just read kid's series and YA. I CAN BE GUARANTEED A HAPPY ENDING AND NOTHING MUCH SCARRING ALONG THE WAY ;____; )

I find it very interesting, but there were a couple scenes that I found genuinely very upsetting. The characters are well-constructed, though, and I enjoy learning more about them. But then, I do well with dark stories.

No kidding. I haven't read the book, but I went to Sweden with my high school Swedish class a few years ago and we saw the film. Disturbing is an understatement. And yet most of my classmates kept going all "Oh my gosh, is that dude a girl, or is that girl a dude? Is that dude/girl like gay or something? What is going on?" through the entire film. Me and my friend facepalmed.
